I have decided to start documenting my outfits again, because personal style is something I enjoy a lot. I think that everybody's personality really shows through the choices they make every day while getting dressed and thus the outfit always bears a message that we send away, consciously or not. This particular outfit happened when I finally ditched my winter neutrals and decided to get some colour in, as the days got sunnier and bare ankle weather got back.
The sweater purchase was inspired by this Miu Miu jumper, which unites two of my current obsessions: stripes and metallics. Since the Miu Miu one is accompanied by a hefty price tag that looks a lot like monthly rent to me, I have found a similar one in &Otherstories the other day and I'm very happy with it. It is 100% cotton and as I am trying to get better with buying good quality items made from natural materials instead of getting another piece of polyester, it seemed like a perfect option.
Speaking of which, is it just me, or &Otherstories are just killing it right now? Their newsletter is so on point, it makes me want to buy everything and anything! My bank account begs me to unsubscribe, but I just can't...
The jeans are the illustration of my idea of perfection. They are Topshop Mom and after years and years of trying to find a perfect fitting vintage Levi’s I finally gave up and ordered these just to try on with no hope whatsoever. And here they are, I now have four pairs, two in light denim, one of them with a ripped knee, one in dark and one in white. Did I say they were 100% cotton? Perfection!
The shirt I got from H&M while searching for some colorful pieces. I have been really into green lately, although when Pantone announced "greenery" to be the color of the year I was not particularly enthused. I also love how it clashes with the pink and orange stripes.
The coat I got two years ago from COS and still wear it pretty much every day. It's such good quality, as all COS pieces are, it's totally worth every penny! The dog broach is from &Otherstories sweater and adds a perfect touch of glitter to every outfit, because who doesn't need glitter?
The bag is a vintage Furla that I got from a vintage shop here in Paris. It is in perfect condition and leather is very durable. I love how the powdery pink and dark forest green look together as well.
The shoes I got on sale from Minelli and they are my Italian grandpa loafers for this spring. When I look at them I imagine my feet walking the streets of Napoli on a Sunday morning to get my newspaper accompanied by a ristretto at a local bar just before hopping on my boat. Talk about daydreaming.
